Regression: No
If this system (LFS build) is left idle for several hours with xscreensaver
running(don't currently know which screen saver app. I am assuming one of the
Mesa 3D ones) the system will oops. The system is locked solid and there is no
trace in messages.old on reboot. The attached jpg is a photo of the screen at
system failure. I first noticed the problem in 2.6.38-rc8 but have waited until
now to report the problem in the hope of obtaining a more repeatable scenario.

kernel log
Hello!
I just triggered a kernel crash while trying out some game in wine (the same as
in bug #33066).
Jan 15 23:17:22 voodoomaster kernel: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging
request at ffffc90010280000
When loading the intro sequence in FEAR the screen suddenly went blank and
switched back to console to display this error. The full error is attached as
textfile.
Could still log into the machine via ssh and salvage the kernel log.
System:
ATI Technologies Inc Radeon HD 4770 [RV740]
drm-radeon-testing kernel
libdrm, mesa and xf86-video-ati are all git master
xorg-server-1.9.3.901
wine is version 1.3.11 and the game I triggered this with is the FEAR demo:
http://www.gamershell.com/download_10167.shtml
GLSL was enabled in wine.

Tobias

dmesg on lockup
Alex,
Here's the dmesg output I just hit when trying the latest mainline kernel from
24 April on the Radeon HD 6570... I didn't check to see if it's similar to the
lockups I've previously talked about for HD 6570 / HD 6850 in a slightly older
kernel before the latest DRM merge. For this log attached, the GPU locked up
right after starting the GNOME desktop with Compiz, soft reset, and recovered.
Running Mesa Git master as of this morning.

in celestia are coloured the wrong shade of blue. (The "OpenGL 2.0" rendering
path gets it right, though.)

Sometimes I have errors like "GPU lockup CP stall for more than 10000msec", you
can find dmesg output in the attached file. I'm already have drm.debug=15,
dmesg output for 10 sec prior to debug will be in the following comment (I
already have a plenty of those). This has happened since I have this system, so
cannot bisect.
Really don't know what additional info is needed in such cases, please ask if
anything else is needed for investigation/fix.

wine output
I have a similar bug to this one at the winehq bugtracker, but I think it
pertains more to mesa now.
As the title states, counter strike source crashes at start up for me. A full
log of wine's output will be attached.
I think this bug is related to the r600 gallium driver because the game does
load, play, and display with gallium's softpipe driving it, although it is
painfully slow.
Also I believe the critical section of the log is the following:

I've looked through wine's source and elf_search_auxv is being called from
MiniDumpWriteDump in dlls/dbghelp/minidump.c which apparently is being called
from within steam/counter strike. Because of this, I'm not sure how to proceed
in debugging since steam/counter strike are both closed. Hopefully someone here
has a clever idea on getting to the bottom of this...
