Bug #: 44301
Summary: [i915g] regression
37b62cc35435a704d33c1814fbdbd0e807699e21 results in
solid color fills in 3Dmark01 and flatout in wine
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Mesa
Version: git
Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal

Commit 37b62cc35435a704d33c1814fbdbd0e807699e21 breaks 3DMark01 and flatout in
wine
- I915_LIE=1 (default) results in a black rectangle when 3dmark shows the logo
while starting, it's rendered correctly with I915_LIE=0
- I915_LIE=1 results in a solid color fill when using 32bpp and a 32bit zbuffer
in game test 1 (i haven't tried the other tests), choosing 16bpp or a 16 or
24bit zbuffer works fine. no rendering errors with I915_LIE=0
- flatout results in a solid color fill, no matter if with I915_LIE or without
all those solid color fills look like if it picks the rgb values of one pixel
at some corner.

After mesa commit b2596c36c8f73e8bb7a0b1679b491662aeb2f9d9 i can experianced
choppy/micro/freezes in video playback and also going thorugh menu in xbmc
and other video players using GL based output.
This can be also seen in many GL games menus like in ppracer/etracer, pingus
(from git it now have GL option), etc.
Have 9d21b5dd265959b28ab1e4103fb381074ec51a08 currently and same problem. DDX

I have a radeon rv280 and use the radeon driver, when I use pcsx-r emulator or
another psx emulator x86/x86_64 X server freezes, the mouse moves very slowly,
but nothing else seems to respond, later I have to access a the machine using
ssh and kill X, after that there is a kernel panic.
My linux distro is Gentoo on kernel 2.6.36.2 with:
libdrm 2.4.23
mesa 7.9
xf86-video-ati 6.13.2
xorg-server 1.9.2.902
I test all from git and kernel 2.6.37-rc8 but bug persist, attached Xorg.log
and xorg.conf.

I'll add logs and screenshot. For me it looks like only very negative bias
resulted in image displayed, everything else just looks like heavily corrupted
mipmaps of texture. Probably bug in _mesa_meta_GenerateMipmap(), may be due to
driver setting something wrong
