The macro `DRM_DEBUG_KMS` seems to add line breaks add the end, so the current
formatting is unexpected. At least the separate line break after the for loop
is not needed.

With ASUS Radeon R9 270, just after I boot up and GDM is supposed to start, my
screen goes blank and some GPU faults are reported in dmesg.
Upgrading to kernel 3.13 solves this issue.
One time the graphics also recovered with 3.12.8 after coming back from
suspend, but I have not been able to reproduce that.
Using up-to-date Arch Linux testing with:
xorg-server 1.15.0
mesa 10.0.2
libdrm 2.4.51
xf86-video-ati 7.2.0
kernel versions tested: 3.12.8, 3.12.1, 3.11.5, 3.10.10

General system information
Hello,
I have a Radeon HD5770 and I cannot use s2ram with Linux kernel 3.13.rc*. It
has been working fine for years, currently with kernel 3.12.0. I tried to
bisect on the Linus tree and the first commit where it started failing is
# first bad commit: [be51e4a78155ff6c5d9299bf726e86b554e21117] Merge tag
'drm-intel-next-2013-10-18' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~danvet/drm-intel
into drm-next
However, the symptoms look slightly different. With that commit, the system
hangs on suspend. With later revisions, it reboots after 3-5 seconds. Not sure
what makes the difference, maybe it's the new option CONFIG_DPM_WATCHDOG but
OTOH I disabled it later and it still keeps rebooting. And I am not sure which
kernel module is exactly the troublemaker, I excluded "radeon" from the
initramfs list and this seemed to make the difference (suspend worked from
initramfs environment) but maybe something else is involved too.
I am attaching some information (messages, pci list, config) which might be
useful. If you want me to work with kgdb/kdb, this may take a couple of days
until I can get a COM port breakout cable for the mainboard.

vbios.rom
With kernel-3.12.0, the system fails to resume from suspend/hibernate.
- It always fails with radeon.dpm=1.
- It fails most times with radeon.dpm=0. Usually it works on the first
try but fails on the second or third, but sometimes even the first try
is unsuccessful.
The screen goes black before it starts reading the pageset2 data, the
numlock/scrolllock leds start blinking indicating a kernel panic. A hard reset
is required. There are no weird messages in dmesg (no_console_suspend=1).
As for the kernel version, I think the problems started around 3.7.0 or maybe
one of its release candidates. Since there have been so many changes and quite
a few problems with those versions, I'm not sure how to bisect this. The last
reliable version that I used was 3.6.2. I have also pulled the drm-next-3.13
patches into 3.12, but it didn't help.
Apart from the failure to resume, the driver works fine (even with dpm
enabled), I have no lockups nor crashes.

I tried the drm-fixes-3.13 branch but it crashes for me in
hwmon_attributes_visible. If I revert commit
ec39f64bba3421c2060fcbd1aeb6eec81fe0a42d (drm/radeon/dpm: Convert
to use devm_hwmon_register_with_groups) the crash disappears.
The attached patch fixes the issue for me. I only had a problem with the
hwmon_attributes_visible function, but looking at the code it seems to me that
the same fix is needed in radeon_hwmon_show_temp_thresh as well.

xbmc@xbmc:~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | pastebinit

xbmc@xbmc:~$ DISPLAY=:0 vdpauinfo | pastebinit
[1]+ Stopped DISPLAY=:0 vdpauinfo | pastebinit
xbmc@xbmc:~$ dpkg -l | grep mesa | pastebinit

as you can see, when I try to run DISPLAY=:0 vdpauinfo, my system hangs, and I
have to force kill the command.
