Priority: medium Bug ID: 70497 Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: GPU lockup CP stall for more than 10000msec Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: brunojimen@gmail.com Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: NEW Version: git Component: Drivers/DRI/Radeon Product: Mesa
Hi,
I think I have found a bug in the radeon driver: after a random time using my PC the screen turns to black and then I'm thrown back to the login screen, and after I log in this happens again after a few moments.
Looking in my journals, I have found this at, more or less, the moment of the problem:
kernel: radeon 0000:01:00.0: GPU lockup CP stall for more than 10000msec kernel: radeon 0000:01:00.0: GPU lockup (waiting for 0x000000000000954e last fence id 0x000000000000954d) systemd-coredump[1999]: Process 240 (Xorg) dumped core.
Currently I am using Arch Linux with its mesa-git repo (everything upgraded). My card is an AMD Radeon HD 5470.
This started happening after I change to the mesa-git repo, but not from the begining of using it.
If there's anything I can do to help, just ask.
Thanks in advance!
