Comment # 40 on bug 73338 from Alex Deucher

I found some time over the last couple of weekends to write up some preliminary
patches that should point you in the right direction; I just need to run them
by the IP team to make sure they are ok to release.  I'd like to avoid
including reverse engineered stuff in the driver as it's a lot harder for us to
maintain.
