drm-kms.7 is an overview page which contains basic information on kernel mode-setting. It is targeted to users that are not familiar with DRM internals and gives short examples how basic mode-setting can be performed. It introduces the main vocabulary including CRTCs, encoders, connectors, framebuffers, planes and cursors.
