--- Comment #34 from Reimar Imhof tuxuser@quantentunnel.de --- Suse provided a new kernel-firmware package: kernel-firmware-20170217-35.1. This includes amdgpu firmware. Using this firmware the computer freezes while starting kde plasma 5. Same bug as reported in #c18.
I tried with latest firmware from https://people.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/radeon_ucode/polaris/ This did _not_ help in any way. System still freezes.
I tested this with kernel 4.10.0 from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/
