--- Comment #9 from Bill Fraser (bill.fraser@gmail.com) --- I'm seeing a very similar problem with the 'ast' driver: a black-on-black text console, with only red-colored text visible -- luckily I have a systemd unit that fails on boot with a red message, which I can see scrolling up the screen as it boots, but nothing else.

I've bisected it back to the same commit as Deposite Pirate above, [b8e2b0199cc377617dc238f5106352c06dcd3fa2].
