During testing, Benni Steini bennisteinir@gmail.com helped us fix the reset sequence timing (from 10ms to 20ms), to get the bootanimation to work on Android.
With current AOSP, we need to increase it to 200ms - this seems to be a safe high value to avoid a white screen occasionally.

Checkpatch is not happy with this patch. Please fix relevant warnings.
My checkpatch options: -q --emacs --strict --show-types
A lot of details in the following. Sorry for not catching these before.
Sam
v2: increase reset sequence timing to a safe 200ms v4: Since "0425662fdf05: drm: Nuke mode->vrefresh", we have to calculate vrefresh on demand. Update for it.

Say Y here if you want to enable support for the Tianma NT36672A
panel. It is seen mostly in Xiaomi Poco F1 mobile phone.
The panel has a 1080x2246 resolution and uses 24 bit RGB per pixel.
It provides a MIPI DSI interface to the host.

Unless this driver is supposed to handle multiple panels connected to the same driver IC then there is no need for a panel_info.
If this driver is supposed to handle multiple panels connected to the same driver IC the binding should be updated. A general compatible for the driver IC and a specific one for the panel.
I had not realised it, but after reading your comment here, I investigated, and it looks like this is a generic IC driver for novatek nt36672a, which is used with different panels in many downstream products. I will update this. Sorry, the driver has come about without any TRMs or documentation, only by adapting downstream drivers to drm_panel base one, so I didn't have a lot of information about the panel or IC itself.

What is the purpose of this function? No other panel drivers uses pinctrl_select_state() so I womder why this driver need it.
Last I had checked, we needed to do this, otherwise there were some issues with the suspend-resume path. I will investigate further, but not having a serial console makes it a bit harder to check these kind of issues.

100 char line length is OK, so put rc on the same line here.
Here pr_err() is used - later DRM_DEV_ERROR() is used. It would be nice to be consistent.
Agreed on the consistency; and all the pr_err usage is in pinctrl parts, so if we are able to remove it, this will go automatically.
