Disabling tiling with xorg.conf and your patch had the following results: - not even one image of gears (unlike with tiling, where I get one correctly rendered static image at the beginning), instead just a black rectangle where the gears would be - the phase with corruptions seems shorter, the screens go black without coming back sooner (might be chance), but gpu resets continue for a while in dmesg (see attachment)
