Can you get the backtrace of the segmentation fault?
To get that, I'd normally have to compile mesa with CFLAGS="-g" make. Will that work here too? Or is there any other way to do it? (Sorry, I'm not a programmer myself.)
Instead of fiddling with the CFLAGS you should probably better use "--enable-debug" for configure.
