Thanks for folding this, instead of the duplication.

Patch looks good. Any nitpicks can be tweaked at a later stage. Rb and pushed to master.

Aside: libdrm following X/Wayland in that it lacks contributor/push access docs. Might be worth, copying the Mesa ones and adding a doc in-tree.
