--- Comment #5 from Mike Old (south.of.heaven@gmx.at) --- Same problem on Arch (5.10.4), AMD RX580. In my case it works without issues if I set the monitor to 120hz instead of 144hz in GNOME settings.

Can also be worked around by setting the monitor (monitor settings) to Display Port version 1.1 and thus a lower refresh rate or by using HDMI instead of DP.
