v3 patch merged with this max patch dmesg

I realized that the last patch I uploaded was v2 modded.  Here is dmesg with
the newer v3 patch and this max patch (merged/applied as one patch). It works
fine thus far, no blank screen.  

Test condition:

xrandr --output HDMI-0 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 23.98
dmesg > /var/log/dmesg
