Fixes 1 - backlight now shuts off.

Makes 3 worse - It put my internal monitor in a state (blank, backlight cycling on and off) that required a hard power cycle to correct (soft reboots left it in this state I don't know why). I recommend that you DO NOT put your laptop to sleep with this kernel.

I will report on 2 when I have my external attached.
