Sorry, that was a copy-and-paste error. I am using drm-next-3.11
If you are still having problems with that branch, you can try disabling power gating. It seems to cause problems on certain ontario systems. I'm trying to sort it out now.
Your patch seems to work for me. I am logged into the system now, and able to switch power states manually.
