Introduction and queries

Hello everyone, I am Suyash Singh from India. I am a second year undergraduate computer science student. I want to participate in Xorg EVOC.

As I see on https://www.x.org/wiki/SummerOfCodeIdeas/ most of the projects are done with C/C++ both of which have been a major part of my curriculum for the last 4 years (school + college).

1) Which ones are the preferred/important projects? 2) How do I begin understanding the project? 3) What do I need to learn?
