"The new kernel reads the microcode from /lib/firmware/amdgpu/kaveri_*. Since
you don't have those files yet, you can create symlinks to those in
/lib/firmware/radeon/. Don't forget to update the initrd afterwards."

I will create the symlinks and retry, but might not be able to do so until
Monday.
