From what I've read else where this isn't a rendering bug but is actually a localisation one. There is a cache with floating point numbers in but on systems where the decimal point isn't used to separate numbers the data isn't interpreted properly Try clearing the cache and launching the game with LC_MESSAGES=c The above is from memory so it might be worth googling the solution if that doesn't work
