How are you starting the X server? Does the shell which starts the X server
contatin the environment variable EGL_PLATFORM=x11, or does it help if you set
EGL_PLATFORM=drm?

Either way, please set the environment variable EGL_LOG_LEVEL=debug for
starting the X server and attach its stderr output.
