I am (even today) experiencing gnome-shell crashes like this on an up-to-date
fedora 18 (cogl-1.12.2-1.fc18.x86_64).  See my comment #18.  Also in Cinnamon
(untested since that report).

What version of cogl should I look for?  I can add something about this to the
Fedora bug report.
