I have very similar looping (but without skipping) which frequently end up gpu hangup on rv730 agp, and i think vdpau was never working with that card/mb, or at least it is not this regression, should i open a new bug?
If this is a regression and you can bisect it to this commit, then it's a duplicate, if not, it's probably a different bug.
