Latests kernel freeze on boot
Sometimes the .39-rc1+ freeze too, but after one reboot start normaly.
The message appear from drm-intel+ kernel is :
GMBUS timed out falling back to bit banging on pin 0 [i915] GMBUS disabled GMBUS timed out falling back to bit banging on pin 6 [i915] GMBUS reserved GMBUS timed out falling back to bit banging on pin 7 [i915] GMBUS dpd
and remove the i915.modeset=1 from boot param

More interesting is information on the freeze. Though I think you probably want to read lkml first.

These aren't related to i915.ko, except that we are the medium for another subsystem to abuse as it walks every single i2c adapter. -Chris
