Bug ID: 100141 Summary: [AMDGPU][CIK][4.10/4.11-rc1] Regression - Hibernation does not respect 'reboot' option in /sys/power/disk Product: DRI Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: DRM/AMDgpu Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: shawn.starr@rogers.com
AMDGPU used to respect rebooting after hibernation, now when you specify this, it performs writing pages to disk then freezes.
If I perform a hard power off then back on, hibernation will resume correctly.
Please test for 'reboot' when using /sys/power/disk

--- Comment #1 from Michel Dänzer michel@daenzer.net --- It's not the amdgpu driver's responsibility to perform the reboot. It's possible that an amdgpu bug somehow prevents the reboot from occurring though. Does this problem not happen when the amdgpu driver is blacklisted?
