Bug ID: 196269 Summary: [amdgpu][tahiti xt] dota2 crashes randomly in game Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 4.12 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: blocking Priority: P1 Component: Video(DRI - non Intel) Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org Reporter: sylvain.bertrand@gmail.com Regression: Yes
steamos debian gnu/linux, mesa 17.1, linux kernel 4.12 Playing with the amdgpu linux module stack leads to random crashes (dota2 closes) while playing dota2 (In linux 4.11.x, the game was hanging for 1-2 secs randomly) Playing with the radeon linux module stack is ok, but _significantly_ slower than the amdgpu linux module stack.

--- Comment #1 from Michel Dänzer (michel@daenzer.net) --- Please provide information about the crash, ideally a backtrace, or at least any related log file output from e.g. ~/.steam/error.log or dmesg.
P.S. Mesa would probably have been a better first guess for this bug report than the kernel.

--- Comment #2 from Sylvain BERTRAND (sylvain.bertrand@gmail.com) --- It seems indeed. I'll close this bug to report this one to mesa devs.
