Where? Could you post a link to it, seems I can't find it...

When the radeon devs will think the patch is in good-enough shape, they will likely commit it. Make sure your patch does not change the default behavior and that should be fine.

Users willing to have manual fan management will be the testers ;)

Hmm, good point. But I'll need dumps for other cards to implement similar behaviour, how can I achieve this goal?
