I tried with kernel 3.6.0_rc3 (using the Gentoo Linux ebuild sys-kernel/git-sources-3.6_rc3) but that doesn't change anything... Maybe someone can use the attached dmesg log for some useful information. (This is without using any changes to GRUB, but when I load vbios.bin and int10.bin the behaviour doesn't change)

From what I've been told, you need to boot using the EFI stub method and not a

boot-loader. Also, you may need to pass some kernel options (eg initrd) so the easiest way to do this is from within an EFI shell.

How are you booting the kernel?
