Bug ID: 95574 Summary: amdgpu_init fails on xen boot Product: DRI Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: DRM/AMDgpu Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: bpaterni@gmail.com
Created attachment 124011 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=124011&action=edit xen boot with amdgpu module enabled
Hi,
I'm trying to boot into a linux dom0 via xen, but when the amdgpu kernel module is loaded, the system hangs, and the graphics card's fan spins up to max speed!
To get a better idea of what was happening prior to the hang, I connected to the machine via serial port and captured the attached boot messages which include a kernel backtrace towards the bottom.
