Additional info:
* Vendor bug reference https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643700
* This issue is -critical- for GNOME3 which is using a GL based desktop
environment. In this case, the desktop is -frozen- after resume from suspend
making the system unusable. Only the mouse pointer can be moved. The system
needs to be rebooted or switched to a non-accelerated window manager like
metacity.
* Upgrading to mesa-7.11-0.20110315.0.fc16 has no effect.
* Issue is absent for driver R300 TCL DRI2.
* Installed packages include:
- kernel-2.6.38-1.fc15
- libdrm-2.4.24-1.fc15
- xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.0-7.20110316gitcdfc007ec.fc15

Summary: Problem with Blender and big textures
Product: Mesa
Version: git
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Drivers/Gallium/r300
AssignedTo: dri-devel(a)lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: disnel(a)disnel.com
When I try to use a big texture (4096x4096) in blender 2.56beta, I get
following error:
r300: CS space validation failed. (not enough memory?) Skipping rendering.
and no texture is displayed. Smaller textures (tested 2048x2048) works fine.
Also with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 it works fine. When I try bigger texture
(8000x6048), I get no error, but also no texture and I can see screen
corruption with Compiz (bad window shadows, applets on panel, background on 2nd
display etc).
Blender files with textures and image with corrupted display are here
http://devel.disnel.com/tmp/
(I dont'know, how big files can I attach here). I'am using mesa
7.11.0-git2011016+gallium from xorg-edgers with Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64. My
graphics card is Radeon X1400.

Minecraft after switching from fullscreen
When switching between fullscreen and window in the game Minecraft, or when
pressing F12 to render the scene in Blender, I'm getting a a corrupt screen.
Sometimes it looks like it contains traces of a previously running gl
application, so maybe some buffer or something isn't cleared properly?
This isn't a new bug (seems to be present at least as far back as 7.9) or a
very important one, but would be nice if it could be fixed.

Summary: [r300g] More screen corruption in WoW with HyperZ
enabled.
Product: Mesa
Version: git
Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Drivers/Gallium/r300
AssignedTo: dri-devel(a)lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: rankincj(a)googlemail.com
There is now a large horizontal swathe of corruption across the middle of the
entire screen. This corruption vanishes as soon as I stop exporting
RADEON_HYPERZ.
This corruption appears with my M66GL (RV530 class) (but not with my RV350),
and is very recent - probably since the most recent HyperZ patches. Basically,
the corruption looks like lots of little tiles are missing from the picture.

Summary: Black line in Lightsmark with Z compression enabled
(RV530)
Product: Mesa
Version: git
Platform: Other
URL: http://dee.cz/lightsmark/Lightsmark2008.2.0.tar.bz2
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Drivers/Gallium/r300
AssignedTo: dri-devel(a)lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: drakkk(a)centrum.cz
After recent zbuffer compression rework Lightsmark is the only remaining app
I've tested which is still not working properly here on RV530. There is a thick
black line across the screen in some scenes, particularly: "no radiosity","soft
shadows", "penumbra shadows" and the last scene. Maybe this is a known issue
and there are many open bugs about HyperZ, however according to
db299a9f8244d53d9041fcdbd396a77ebe1f9e3e comment RV530 should just work. So I'm
reporting it isn't. Also this is not a regression, it was much worse before and
this is the only remaining issue here.
To be sure this isn't HiZ issue I've changed line 367 in r300_chipset.c to
"caps->hiz_ram = 0;" and it haven't changed anything.
r300: AA compression: NO, Z compression: YES, HiZ: NO
