Regression: No
I get page faults or general protection faults under heavy 3d load (like
"sauerbraten", but sometimes switching windows with kwin is enough) in random
processes. I have a radeon hd 6870 and use r600g from mesa git.
This happens on 3.0-rc1 and 2.6.39. I am not sure if this is a problem with
older kernels, too, since I get gpu lockups with them.
I am not sure what could cause these problems, maybe some bug in gem / ttm?

Hi,
I'm able to successfully hibernate while using nouveau with kernel version
2.6.35 (and before) but unable to hibernate in 2.6.36 (and after up to
2.6.39-rc$YESTERDAY).
I am not using X. From the console I test whether hibernate is possible
using "pm-hibernate".
I've bisected this and located a range of possible commits which changed
this behavior.

Summary: activated KMS leads to complete freeze when viewing
BIG images in Iceweasel

Kernel Version: 2.6.32-5-686
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal

Regression: No
In early versions of 2.6.32 line, my system used to often freeze when I tried
to open big (1,7mb+) images in Iceweasel. Since the kernel got updated, these
freezes seem to have vanished.
But now I can reproduce the freeze every time, when visiting a certain .onion
site and there viewing a certain picture. Therefore I uploaded this very
picture to another pic-hoster and tried to view it there: The machine did NOT
freeze. So it is not the fault of the picture itself. It is the teamwork of
that specific .onion site and that picture.
This bug occurs NOT, if I deactivate KMS.
When the system is frozen, i can ping it, but not SSH into it any more.
Backtraces are very seldom. I only got 4 (see attachment) since the logs
usually show nothing.
I have to add another thing:
With activated KMS the desktop always freezes for a few seconds, when opening
large pictures in Iceweasel, or clicking on the tab which contains this large
picture. It also shows this behaviour, when switching between windows. In
earlier versions of 2.6.32 the system often used to freeze completely at that
moment. Now its only for a few seconds, except I try the mentioned .onion site
with that certain picture.

When trying to resume from suspend, the computer freezes totally, after a
second or so. Nothing can be found in the logs, because loging doesn't even
start until then. Resuming from hibernation works fine.
I've realised, that if i delete the i2c-algo-bit.ko file (therefore preventing
it from being loaded) the resume/suspend will work fine, but there is no
compositing, sadly.
Using "nomodeset", and trying resume from suspend failed.
It is an RC415ME chip (it is written on it).
