Unigine Heaven benchmark shows black textures. It looks like this:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/842/slika322.jpg/
It looks like it's problem with floating-point textures.
This is output of program: http://pastebin.com/GKWmbhV9
Here is my glxinfo: http://pastebin.com/BM9Vw8vm
I am using Ubuntu 11.04 with "oibaf" PPA build. Do I need to provide more data?

gdb of X using Kernel 2.6.38-02063802
>From kernel .35 onwards the system freezes at random.
This is mostly while scrolling scrolling pages while they load in Firefox(most
common) or while scrolling in Nautilus/Gedit windows while they load.
Once it freezes I'm not able to do anything, only the mouse pointer alone moves
but nothing else responds. It seems to happen when there is increased disk
read/write.(but I'm not very sure of this) I'm using btrfs for my /home
partition.
This regression starts in Kernel 2.6.35-1-generic #1-Ubuntu SMP Sat Jun 5
06:18:25 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
While, I dont have any problems with Kernel 2.6.34-5-generic #14-Ubuntu SMP Fri
Jun 4 06:18:40 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux or MainlineKernel
2.6.34-02063407-generic #201009140905 SMP Tue Sep 14 10:10:14 UTC 2010 i686
GNU/Linux, both work fine.
Problem is also present in Mainline Kernel 2.6.36-020636 , Ubuntu Kernel
2.6.37-12.26 , Mainline Kernel 2.6.37-020637rc8 , Ubuntu Kernel 2.6.38-1 and
Mainline Kernel 2.6.38-02063802
I'm not able to test with kernel .39 because I'm having network issues with
that.

When playing a game that function is still on top, albeit with a lower

If the function does what its name says then it should be called at most once,
when switching modes, entering standby, etc. I don't see why it is being called
during normal operation, and why is it called so many times that it makes it
the top function using the CPU...
The graphics in games is quite laggy too, maybe because of this...
My dmesg is attached.

First of all, this is not a complaint. Using 2.6.38-gitX, my laptop works
correctly using the nouveau driver, at least for X. I previously tried it with
the 2.6.37 kernel in openSUSE 11.4. At that point, nothing worked. I
congratulate you on your improvements.

There are also the occasional

(2) The fonts in terminals are not really sharp. The screen resolution is set
to 1024x768, not the 1280x800 that is native for the screen. The xrandr command
shows
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096
LVDS-1 connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 303mm

640x480 59.4
720x400 59.6
640x400 60.0
640x350 59.8
The inability to switch to the higher resolution is probably my fault.
The worst problem is that the boot sequence and virtual terminals 1-6 all have
the text covering only the right-hand 2/3 of the screen, and the characters are
not dense as they are with the framebuffer driver I get with the "nomodeset"
option on the GRUB boot line.

Summary: GPU lockup CP stall after resume from hibernation

OS/Version: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal

Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)

ReportedBy: psusi(a)cfl.rr.com
Regression: No
When resuming from hibernation on my Asus P8P67 Pro Core-i5 2500K system with a
Radeon 4850, I get a GPU lockup CP stall error, which leaves the display in a
corrupt state. The kernel attempts to reset the display to no avail, landing
back in the lockup again and again. A sysrq-K to kill X.org resolves the issue.
The issue seems to be tied to plymouth. If I boot without the quiet and splash
options when resuming, it resumes just fine. Suspend also works fine. This
occurs with the stock Ubuntu Maverick 2.6.35 based kernel, the Natty 2.6.38
based kernel, and the Linus 2.6.38 kernel ( last two built from source ). The
kernel log shows:

Summary: [radeon] Noisy fan with Radeon R600 and Toshiba
Satellite L500-164
Product: Drivers
Version: 2.5
Kernel Version: 2.6.38-rc8 (at least since 2.6.35)
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
AssignedTo: drivers_video-dri(a)kernel-bugs.osdl.org
ReportedBy: denisw(a)online.de
Regression: No
When I use my Toshiba Satellite L500-164 laptop (AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4650) with
the radeon KMS driver, the GPU fan spins up very quickly (and loudly) after
booting and makes no attempt at spinning down subsequently (I need to fully
reboot for this to happen). The resulting noise makes the driver unusable for
me currently, which is unfortunate as it works perfectly otherwise.
I have tested this with every kernel version since I have this laptop, that is,
2.6.35, 2.6.36, 2.6.37 (different distributions each), and 2.6.38-rc8 mainline.
I don't know if it is helpful in any way, but I have looked to see if the
machine has any external thermal sensors attached to the GPU (using lm_sensors
and by looking into sysfs), but only the Intel Core sensors (coretemp) have
been found. I assume that means that the GPU has an internal thermal sensor,
but I don't know.
With the propietary fglrx driver, fan speed control works just fine.
If you need any further information, just ask.

OS/Version: Linux

Created an attachment (id=50462)
--> (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=50462)
output of dmesg after boot (radeon as module, modeset=0) and rmmod of radeon
Hardware: MacMini G4 (ppc-32).
Graphic adaptor: Radeon 9200 (RV280) probably a 'mac' version.
Symptoms:
with modprobe radeon modeset=0, everything works fine. Machine boots normally,
X works, xrandr and Xv too.
with modeset=1, modeprobe never returns and gets stucked durring
initialization.
More specifically, the call to radeon_fence_wait in r100_ib_test (r100.c) loops
endlessly (or at least for several hours). I'm attaching dmesg of a modified
driver with more printk.
I have tried several combination of putting AGPART/FBCON/RADEON in kernel or as
modules, tried with and without OFFB and so on, same results. Also attaching
output of lspci and .config used for the dmesg trace and output of radeontool
regs '*'.

Summary: Radeon card reports wrong temperature when switched
off
Product: Drivers
Version: 2.5
Kernel Version: 2.6.38-rc5
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Tree: Mainline

Priority: P1

AssignedTo: drivers_video-dri(a)kernel-bugs.osdl.org
ReportedBy: mail(a)3v1n0.net

Regression: Yes
In previous versions of the kernel (I've tested the 2.6.37 version) when the I
switched off the radeon card using vga_switcheroo libsensors was correctly
reporting that the radeon temperature was 0° (or invalid).
This doesn't happen any more using the latest kernel, in fact (after the commit
20d391d72519527d2266a0166490118b40ff998d, I figure) when my radeon card has
been switched off (or after a suspend/resume cycle) sensors indicates:
radeon-pci-0100
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +2147355.6°C
This is obiouvsly impossible.

You have some hardware problem, likely on the PCI bus.
