My hardware: core quad Q6600, 8Gb memory, amd radeon 5850 With start of game the fps is above 30. After hour of game fps down to 10. That may be cured by changing, for example, vertical sync in game settings, but after hour of game fps down to 10 again. With proprietary drivers on the same configuration all is ok. The drivers which are currently being used are the open source drivers (xf86-video-ati 6.14.99). I am experiencing random (on save, on dialog open, on workspace switch) hard lockups (CTRL + ALT + F1 doesnt work, nor does ALT+PrntScrn R S E I U B). This only happens when using two screens (independent of which output (e.g. Displayport + VGA, Displayport + Notebook LCD) are used). This issue is a complete show stopper since the pc requires a hard reboot and any unsaved items are lost indefinitely (or worse, things might get corrupted).
